
MANILA, Philippines – A manager of a local radio station was injured after he was shot by unidentified gunmen in Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat Wednesday.
An initial report from Tacurong City Police station identified the victim as Benjie Abdul Caballero, working as station manager of Radyo ni Juan.
Police said Caballero was waiting for a tricycle along a road in Barangay New Isabela in Tacurong City when two men aboard a motorcycle appeared.
One of the suspects approached and shot him on the chest at around 1:15 p.m.
The gunmen then fled the scene while the victim was brought to St. Louis Hospital.
Police said investigation on the incident is underway.
