MANILA — It was impossible for escaped Korean-American drug dealer, Jun No to bribe the guards because he only had P3,000 cash on hand at the time of his escape.

This was the report of Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) after No managed to escape on April 15 after undergoing a surgery for acute appendicitis.

According to PDEG, No’s two police guards voluntarily surrendered to the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).

They are SPO2 Michael Macarubbo of PDEG and IO2 Ernie Eugenio of PDEA.

The police said it was impossible for the suspected drug dealer to communicate with his colleagues and ask help and money so he can hide from the authorities.

“I don’t think he would’ve gotten his money because our men were monitoring him closely,” said PDEG Legal and Investigation Division chief, PSupt Enrico Rigor.

The PNP is now monitoring places in Metro Manila where No might go to.

“The cellphone recovered from him indicates he’s a major supplier in Ermita, Manila area,” Rigor said.

No is a notorious supplier of party drugs who was arrested on April 5 in Pasay City.
